RONCALLI’S ASH WEDNESDAY MASS & FISH/SHRIMP DINNER
Roncalli High School will be celebrating an Ash Wednesday Mass in its new Fr. Wilmoth Chapel of the Sacred Heart at 5:00 on Wednesday, March 9. Additionally, the Roncalli Parents Organization will hold its annual Ash Wednesday Fish/Shrimp Dinner from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the school’s cafeteria. The menu will be fish or shrimp with green beans, cole slaw, chips, a drink and dessert for $6.50 or a child’s meal of pizza, green beans, cole slaw, chips, a drink and dessert for $4.00. All are invited for Mass and/or dinner! Proceeds support the senior Christian Awakening Retreat program.

Chick-fil-A on Southport Road is sponsoring a fundraising night for St. Baldrick’s on Wednesday, March 23 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Please bring in a flyer located in the school office and they will donate 20% of what you spend!
WOMEN'S CLUB
All women in the Parish are invited to attend the Women’s Club meeting on February 24, 2011 at 7:30pm in the Parish Center basement. The Women’s Club is a great opportunity to get to know women in the parish, have some fun, & give back to the community. During this meeting we plan to help the Social Jus-tice Commission by assembling Kid’s Packs for The Lord’s Pan-try at Anna’s House. Snack and beverages will be provided. SCRIP UPDATE
The new Scrip rebate period started on 1/01/11 and will continue through 3/31/11. You should have received a letter back in February letting you know your Scrip rebates for the period of 4/22/10-12/31/11. If you didn't, you probably pay your tuition anually. If so, your rebate will be credited toward your 2011-2012 tuition in July.
There are only 5 more weeks before Spring Break. Be sure to order your gas cards, hotel, restaurant, etc..... before then! If you haven't heard, Target is now a part of the Scrip program!!! You should check the Scrip website monthly to see the bonus rebates for the month.

Art and Talent Show - Thank you
Hats off to all of the young performers and artists who performed and had their work displayed in the St Jude talent show on Friday night. What a wonderful display of talent!

SPRING SPORTS REGISTRATION
Just a reminder to all parents, the spring sports registration deadline is February 18th. NO LATE REGISTRATIONS CAN BE ACCEPTED! Our spring sports at St. Jude include: boys baseball and girls softball, co-ed soccer, co-ed track and field, and girls kickball. All sports are open to students in grades 4-8 and kickball is open to girls in grades 3-8.
We are looking forward to a fun spring in our Athletic Ministry, don’t miss out!!
GIRL SCOUT ANNUAL FATHER/DAUGHTER EVENT
Mark your calendars on Saturday, March 5th for the annual father/daughter event. This year’s theme is ‘spring fling outdoor extravaganza’ . The event will be held from 2:45-4:45 pm at the St Jude pavilion and youth center. Following the event all girl scouts and their families are invited to celebrate our annual Girl Scout Mass at 5:00pm. More details to follow….but for now…save the date.

We are in need for adult volunteers to help with the children’s mission on February 28-March 2 6:30pm-8:30pm. There will be a planning meeting on Tuesday February 15th at 7pm, in the Parish Center. The calendar has been adjusted to make up for our days we recently missed due to the ice storm. In order to end our year without running into an additional week, we will be in school on February 21st, April 25th and May 27th. Snow make up days are never convenient and we certainly appreciate your understanding.

WINTER FORMAL
The Winter Formal was a great success. It looked like everyone was having a great time. A special thanks to our great photographer, Lori Crosley. She did a great job and took many great pictures. Come rain, or sleet, or snow - and we've had them all this week - the dance is on for tomorrow night!! The gym is ready, the pizza is hot, the music is fun and the dance floor is beckoning...so have your student come ready to have fun with their friends! The gym doors open at 7p. One last
